Pakistan and Indonesia discuss defence agreement

Pakistan's Ambassador to Indonesia Sanaullah called on Defence Minister Purnomo Yusgiantoro in Jakarta on Monday to discuss finalisation of a defence agreement between Pakistan and Indonesia. The ambassador on this occasion expressed gratitude for inviting Pakistan's Defence Minister to Jakarta for signing of the agreement and to discuss matters of mutual interest, a press release said.
During the meeting, Purnomo Yusgiantoro endorsed the proposal that the defence forces of the two countries should promote opportunities to explore collaboration for use of indigenously developed weapon systems. He also offered to arrange a meeting of the Defence Minister of Pakistan with the Indonesian Minister for Industry to promote joint ventures.
