At least seven people including three suspected bombers were killed and over 20 sustained injuries in a remote-controlled bomb explosion near Bara Qadeem check-post on Bara Road linking tribal area with the provincial metropolis on Thursday. The bomb went-off near Bara Qadeem check-post, a border area of Peshawar and Khyber Agency that is manned by Frontier Constabulary.
Several children, who were playing in the area, also wounded. One of the children later succumbed to his wounds in Lady Reading Hospital Peshawar. The independent sources are attributing the explosion to suicide attack targeting a passing by convoy of the personnel of the Frontier Constabulary FC. The death toll may rise as conditions of several victims were stated to be critical. The injured were rushed to local hospitals for treatment. Police and law enforcement agencies rushed to the spot and cordoned off the area.
