Panic grips again as gas cylinder explodes in Lahore

The panic gripped the city again here on Saturday when a gas cylinder exploded with a loud blast in Upper Mall area of Lahore. A man and a woman received burn injuries. The ambulances and volunteers rushed as they felt it was another blast in the city. However, only a gas cylinder had exploded with loud bang.
Law enforcing agencies stayed there and a strict check was made on all the roads and the exits of the city. Law enforcing agencies are interrogating the accused arrested last day from the suicide attack site in crack down by the police. Markets observed partial strike to mourn the persons killed in the suicide attack.
A thin traffic rush was also observed due to panic in the city. Chief minister Punjab Mian Shahbaz Sharif announced five lakh compensation for the heirs of the dead persons and two lakh for the persons seriously injured in the incident. He also constituted a high level committee to probe into the suicide attack. All the deceased were buried and a large number of people attended their funeral processions. The relatives of patients in hospitals were not allowed to meet them for security reasons.
