UK HC calls on LHC Chief Justice

British High Commissioner (HC) Adam Thomson here on Saturday called on Lahore High Court Chief Justice Khawaja Muhammad Sharif. The HC held a discussion on judicial work and provision of justice in provincial subordinate judiciary.
Chief Justice Khawaja Sharif briefed him about different steps taken for early disposal of pending cases and objectives of National Judicial Policy. Justice Sharif told the HC that the performance of LHC was declared as a role model at a recent meeting of National Judicial Policy held in Karachi. The CJ also gifted some of his own written books to Adam. Meanwhile, a delegation of Rawalpindi bar association also called on the Chief Justice and placed their demands regarding welfare of lawyers.
