Pakistan has strong cultural heritage: Afridi

Federal Minister for Environment Hameedullah Jan Afridi has said that Pakistan has a strong cultural heritage, which would be a driving force for people to strive for a strong and stable Pakistan. "Pakistani culture is our identity and we should feel proud of it," the Minister said while addressing the gathering at a painting exhibition of famous artist Musawar Munir, held at Lok Versa, on Sunday.
Globalisation and modernisation have made strong impact on our cultural values, the Minister said, adding, "Our new generation is not well aware of our strong cultural heritage. We have to save our cultural heritage and there is dire need to work in this regard." Afridi said that being a nation Pakistanis have to highlight the cultural heritage and make world aware of the rich traditions and heritage. Ministry of Environment is also playing its due role to protect the strong culture of Pakistan, he added. He admired the artistic work of Musawar Munir and said that Munir has beautifully introduced the cultural heritage.
Afridi said that Musawar identified the problems of Pakistani people and Muslim community.
He said that Musawar Munir is the asset of Pakistan and his artistic work is appreciable. The main theme of his paintings is "Natural Scenery, Artistic Lettering, International Problems and Pakistan Regional Culture".
