Federal Mini-ster for Textile Industry Rana Muhammad Farooq Saeed Khan has expressed resolve that all genuine problems of the textile sector would be solved on priority basis as the government is serious in mitigating the sufferings of all the stakeholders.
In a statement issued here Sunday, he termed the statements regarding the issues of yarn export as ambiguous and said some elements are trying to misguide the business community in this regard.
The minister said the government is fully committed to facilitate the business community particularly the textile industry so as to increase the exports of this sector. He further said that the textile policy represents that the ministry has a clear vision to enhance the capabilities of textile sector so that our products could get more access in the European markets.
Rana Farooq pointed that the government had to face multifarious problems like load-shedding, terrorism and extremism which jolted the country's economy during the past 2 years. "There was an economic crunch and financial recession throughout the world and being a part of the world economy, our country also suffered but we are optimist to steer the country out of this crisis", he said. He was of the view that this is not the time for 'point-scoring' as the country is passing through a critical juncture and all segments of society must join our hands in strengthening the institutions of the country.
The minister said mission of Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Shaheed was to develop the industrial sector of the country and PPP government is fully committed to follow her vision. Slogan of the party "Roti, Kapra aur Makan" is practical and we are facing difficulties in executing this slogan due to terrorism and economic crisis faced by the country, he concluded.
