Punjab Chief Minister, Shahbaz Sharif on Sunday speaking at the Mufti Muhammad Hussain Naeemi Seminar in Jamia Naeemia said that Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) had refused to accept foreign diktat and stood strong and resolute before Musharraf.
The Chief Minister averred that if this was the stance of Taliban, then they should not carry out terrorism in Punjab.
Punjab Chief Minister said that Punjab was being punished for its anti-Musharraf policies. He said that the history would not forgive religious leaders if they did not find a way to counter terrorism.
Speaking about relations with United States he said they had no clash with the country, however, he pointed that their party took a strong position against Kerry-Lugar Bill. The Parliament should be given time to perform, he said, urging the nation to adopt a common agenda to move forward.
Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman and senior journalist Hamid Mir also addressed the participants slamming both the major parties of having support of banned outfits to win by-election in Jhang and Bahawalnagar.
