Ninth biennial conference on chest diseases from March 20

The NWFP will host the four-day 9th Biennial International conference under the aegis of Pakistan Chest Society (PCS) central from 20 to 23 March in Bhurban, Murree. Pakistan Chest Society (PCS) president Dr Arshad Javed announced this in a news conference here on Wednesday.
He said that in view of the current security situation the conference will be held in Burban, Murree. He said that in the four days conference, renowned chest physicians, Tuberculosis specialists, Medical specialists, family physicians and medical students would take part.
Dr Arshad informed that the first conference of its nature had organised in 1994 hosted by the Frontier province, which was holding every two years in four provinces under the auspicious of Pakistan Chest Society. He added that the Frontier province is being hosted the conference, after the gap of eight years, but unfortunately it is not organising in the province due to security reason.
In the conference, more than 108 research papers will be delivered, most of them comprising on local research, he maintained. PCS president said his society has acquired the services of national expertise of chest and the diseases regarding the presentation diagnosis, management prevention of pneumonia, Asthma, Tuberculosis, COPD, smoking.
