Speakers urge to follow Islam in letter and spirit

The speakers at a seminar have said that peace in the country lies in following the injections of Islam in letter and spirit as education, discipline, counter-corruption, self-accountability and philosophy of Khudi are prerequisites to the peace and development of the country.
They were speaking at a session held on "Pakistan in the grip of terrorism." The session organised by the Directorate of Students Affairs and Public Relations and Publications Department, UAF, was held at Iqbal Auditorium, University of Agriculture Faisalabad.
The session was presided over by UAF Vice Chancellor Dr Iqrar Ahmad Khan while Punjab University Assistant Professor and anchor person, Kamran Shahid was special guest who delivered a special lecture on the topic. Tanzeem Madaris Pakistan Chairman Dr Mufti Bilal, Students Affairs Principal Officer Dr Younis and Public Relations and Publication Principal Officer Dr Jilal Arif also spoke on the occasion.
Kamran Shahid while stressing the need to self-accountability and counter corruption from the country recommended that proper education and following the Islam are the only way to get the desired tangible results. Recalling the Sulah-e-Hadibia, he said that the country was running through worst crises on the hand of terrorism, corruption etc and in the current scenario, we could not take a step to be isolated from the world powers so we should learn from the Sulah-Hadibia.
He vented his spleen on Taliban by saying that it is painful that they had turned the country into a bloodbath. He said that from the first day when Pakistan came into existence till now we had failed to implement writ of the government in Fata. He said that some people were making the life a hell by implementing there own brand of Islam.
Referring the Lal Chowk, a place in Swat where Taliban were used to execute the people, he said that a large number of people were killed there on the allegation that they had desired to follow constitution of Pakistan and to show interest in implementing writ of the government. It is an ample example of Taliban's cruelty, he added.
Kamran also informed the audience that a lady constable was executed there only because of that she was clad in uniform that shows writ of the government. He again said that education is a solution to all issues. He presented the example of Japan, which has no its military force but no one can harm them owing to education. He said that we should Jihad through education.
The vice chancellor highlighted the philosophy of Khudi, concepts given by Allama Iqbal and Sir Sayed. Talking about his recent visit to Iran, he told the audience about the women participation in the development of that country. He stressed the need to identify the enemies within us.
He said that it is temporary phase so we should be hopeful that the country would come out from the clutches of terrorism in the near future. Mufti Bilal condemned the terrorism and urged the Muslim Ummah to follow the teaching of Islam. He said that Islam is a religion of peace and by following Islam we can come out from the present crises.
