Pakistan's efforts for countering terrorism lauded

Kingdom of Saudi Arabia lauds government of Pakistan's efforts in war against militancy and ensures Saudi Arabia's co-operation in this regard, said Vice Minister for Religious Affairs of Saudi Arabia, Sheikh Abdul Aziz bin Abdulllah al-Hammar. In a meeting with Federal Minister for Law and Justice Dr Babar Awan here Thursday at the Ministry of Religious Affairs, Sheikh Abdul Aziz said.
"We need to promote Islamic concept of brotherhood and religious harmony," adding that the Saudi government wants to cement these relations with people and government of Pakistan.
On the occasion, Saudi Vice Minister also handed over a letter on behalf of the Saudi Government, expressing well wishes of King Abdullah and Saudi Prince to President and Prime Minister of Pakistan and appreciated their co-operation in the academic and religious matters. Dr Babar Awan informed that Sheikh Abdul Aziz also delivered a letter for him and Minister for Foreign Affairs, carrying the message that they consider Pakistan a power of Muslim Ummah.
