Sindh government to improve public sector enterprises' performance

The Government of Sindh with the assistance of Asian Development Bank (ADB) is pursuing the policy reforms to improve the performance and efficiency of public sector enterprises. This initiative is aimed at enhancing private sector participation in the management of commercial activities under public private partnership.
The industrial sector is playing a vital role for uplifting the growth and development in Sindh province. Keeping this in view, the Industrial Sector Governance Reforms (ISGR) is being introduced in selective industrial SITES on pilot basis. After going through the in-depth consultation process and recognising the need, three SITES including Kotri, Nooriabad and Larkana have been selected to initiate the reforms process to ensure efficient and effective governance of the industries sector.
Pursuing the policy of integrated development with active participation of stakeholders, a seminar on stakeholder consultation regarding industrial governance reforms in Sindh is being organised by Sindh Growth & Rural Revitalisation Programme, provincial Planning and Development department on March 24.
