Activity at Karachi and Qasim ports

The Karachi Port handled 111,198 tonnes of cargo including 51,435 tonnes of import cargo; 59,763 tonnes of export cargo and 6,340 loaded and empty containers during last 24 hours ended at 0700 hours on Saturday. The total import cargo of 51,435 tonnes comprised of 44,950 tonnes of containerised cargo; 3,687 tonnes of bulk cargo and 2,798 tonnes of canola.
The total export cargo of 59,763 tonnes comprised of 35,424 tonnes of containerised cargo; 675 tonnes of bulk cargo; 13,164 tonnes of cement and 10,500 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo. Three ships namely X-Press Annapurna, Patriot and Voge Dignity sailed out to sea during the reported period.
Six vessels viz Bunga Raya Sambilan, Seaway Valour, YM America, Patriot, Iron Butterfly and Rui Ning-1 are currently at the berths. Nine ships namely Bunga Raya Sambilan, Hyundai Federal, Iron Butterfly, Glory River, Panama Express, Seaway Valour, Glory Moon, YM America and Kota Handal are expected to sail on Saturday.
Nine vessels viz MT Swat, Advance Victoria, Ltc Calvin P. Titus, Uni Promote, MOL Bravery, Abtin-1, Bunga Raya Dua, Kumit and Barwaaqo due to arrive on Saturday, while four ships namely Oriental Freesia, Citron, Qatari Ibn Al Fuja'a and Alliance St. Louis are due to arrive on Sunday.

The total import cargo includes 19,500 tonnes of containerised cargo. The total export cargo of 17,220 tonnes includes 409 tonnes of rice; 1,775 tonnes of cement and 15,036 tonnes of containerised cargo. MV Thea-K sailed out to sea during last 24 hours, while two container vessels viz CV Maersk Novazzano and CV MSC Namibia are expected to sail on Saturday afternoon.
Four vessels viz CV Maersk Novazzano, CV MSC Namibia, MV Orient-II and MV Thea-K are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement and rice respectively during last 24 hours. A total number of three ships namely Advance Victoria, Odin Pacific and Malvern carrying diesel oil, rice and palm oil respectively are currently at the outer anchorage.
Three vessels viz MV Odin Pacific, MT Advance Victoria and MT Golden Oceania scheduled to load/offload rice, diesel oil and chemicals are expected to take berths at Multi Purpose Terminal (MW-4), FOTCO Oil Terminal and Engro Vopak Terminal respectively on Saturday.
Two container ships namely CV Maersk Missouri and CV QIA Al-Fuja'a are due to arrive on Sunday. A total number of five ships namely Nedlloyd Africa, Hurst Point, ACX Reflesia, Platters and Green Line carrying containers, crude oil and cement are also due to arrive.
