Two Nato soldiers, one of them British, were killed by bombs in southern Afghanistan on Monday, the alliance said, bringing to 128 the number of foreign soldiers killed in the country this year. The fatalities occurred in two separate locations. Britain's defence ministry said the Briton was killed in Helmand province, bringing to 31 the number of British soldiers killed in Afghanistan this year. In all, 276 British soldiers have died since operations began in Afghanistan in 2001.
Of these, at least 242 were killed as a result of hostile action.
