A Pakistan parliamentary committee will investigate alleged financial irregularities and mismanagement amounting to millions of rupees in the accounts of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). An auditor-general's report has highlighted financial irregularities, including spending without proper authoritization or planning, of around 500 million rupees ($5.93 million) in a five-year period between 2003 and 2008.
"The AG's report is an eye-opener and obviously it talks about lot of money so we have left the matter in the hands of the PAC," PCB chairman Ijaz Butt told reporters on Monday.
