Philippine yields drop on data

Philippine local bond yields tumbled on Tuesday after budget deficit data for the first two months of 2010 fell in line with market expectations, calming concerns the government would overshoot deficit targets and have to issue more bonds. Thai bond yields steadied near one-week highs after the central bank set cut-off yields in line with market expectations, though traders were cautious after the finance minister's comments on rates on Monday.
