'Federal government trying to improve healthcare system'

Punjab Assembly Speaker, Rana Muhammad Iqbal here on Tuesday speaking at the 4th T.B Conference said that the provincial government was endeavouring to improve the health services in the province. He said that political parties should work hard to strengthen the rule of law and democracy. He averred that the whole nation and the armed forces were fighting against terrorism and this fight would reach its logical conclusion.
Iqbal said that the government was working enthusiastically on the Punjab TB Programme, free diagnosis and treatment of TB. He said this treatment was not being provided in cities but also at basic health centres in the villages. He said that a complete course of eight-week treatment of TB could uproot the disease.
