A suspended DSP has filed before the Lahore High Court (LHC) a petition challenging the judicial inquiry against him, after removing objections raised by the office of the registrar of the august court. The petitioner's counsel Farooq Hassan had submitted that the judicial inquiry was not done according to its legal requirements and appeared biased.
He alleged that the sessions judge regretfully revealed his own bias against the petitioner by using various phrases in his inquiry report, which suggested that the report was neither neutral nor objective. He therefore prayed to the court to re-convene the inquiry. He also prayed to the court to restrain the respondent police high-ups from taking any punitive action against him.
