The Employees' Old-Age Benefit Institution was established in 1976 to grant old-age benefits for the persons employed in industrial, commercial and other organisation and matter connected therewith. Under the scheme the EOBI grants Old-Age Pension; Invalidity Pension; Survivors' Pension and Old-Age.
Projects of PRIMACO:
Construction of EOBI House at G-10/4, Mauve Area, Islamabad: 75% civil work has been completed on the total covered area of 210,000 sq. ft of the office building. Completion date is 30-06.2010.
Construction of 4 star EOBI NOVOTEL Hotel, Airport Road Lahore: topographic survey, geo-technical investigation, preliminary designing etc has been completed. Drawings have been submitted to Lahore Cantonment Board for approval. The work for deep excavation land contiguous pilling has been completed. Work on Anchors has been started on 18.06.2009.
Construction of Commercial Centre at Nursery Karachi (Former EOBI Head Office): The project was completed in time and the building taken over from the contractor on 15.05.2009. Proposed Commercial Centre at I-8 Markaz Islamabad: Feasibility report has been undertaken to construct Commercial Plaza.
Construction of EOBI Offices of Nazimabad and Bin Qasim Karachi: Drawings were submitted to KBCA. Approval is awaited. Tender document is under development.
Project Management Services to Bureau of Emigration for the Project of Emigration Tower at Sector G-8/1, Islamabad: Two basements completed. Installation of forwork at ground floor is in progress.
Propose Office Tower at I.I. Chundrigar Road Karachi: Feasibility study has been undertaken to construct multi storey office centre on main I.I. Chundrgiar Road, Karachi.
Workers Welfare Fund:
The Workers Welfare Fund allocate funds for development schemes and other welfare measures of workers; sanction expenditure on the administration and management of the Fund; monitor projects and makes investment in government and non-government securities / real estate. The Provincial Workers Welfare Boards identify project, plan projects; implement and execute projects and maintain and operate completed projects. The achievements of the WWF for the last two years are given below:
Development Schemes Completed:
04 housing schemes (1100 flats & 328 houses) coasting Rs 616 million have been completed. 6 schools (3 Secondary & 3 Primary) 4 industrial homes and 4 community centers at a cost of Rs 156 million have been established. One hospital 2 dispensaries and 2 wards have been constructed at the cost Rs 127 million.
4 water supply schemes have been completed at a cost of Rs 61 million.

24 schemes coasting Rs 13,978 million having 11, 167 flats/houses (9,870 flats, 1,297 houses), 248 barracks are under execution.
7 schools (6 secondary, 1 primary), (Costing Rs 329 million) One 25 bedded hospital (coasting Rs 44 million)
Matric Tech Programme in Schools at Lahore, Multan, Faisalabad, Sialkot, Gujranwala, Karachi, Hyderabad, Sukkur, Peshawar, Haripur, Marden, Quetta & Hub for Arts Students (9th & 10 Class)
Trades for Boys - Welding Electrician, Plumbing & Sanitary Installer, Daftsman (Civil), Qty Surveyor & Steel Fixer.
Trades of Girls - Beautician & Skin care, tailoring, Knitting & Embroidery, Office Secretary & Computer Operator. Technical Training Programme at ATIN Mandra, CTTI and NTB, Islamabad for workers and their children. 14 No of trainees are being paid stipend@Rs 3000/-pm.
Establishment of Regional Offices of WWF at Lahore, Karachi, Peshawar & Quetta, and Zone Offices of Provincial WWBs at Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, Multan, Hyderabad, Larkana, Sukkur.
