Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani, Prime Minister of Pakistan will visit Gujranwala to inaugurate Gujranwala Business Centre (GBC) on Saturday, March 27 (today), Business Recorder learnt on Friday. The PM will be accompanied by a number of high-ranking government and public dignitaries including Mir Hazar Khan Bijarani, Federal Minister of Industries and Production, Abdul Ghaffar Somroo, Federal Secretary I&P and Shahid Rashid, CEO Smeda.
According to Smeda sources, the Prime Minister, after unveiling the inaugural plaque, will take a round of the industrial exhibition at the centre. Later, he will address the formal inaugural ceremony of the centre that will be held at Gujranwala Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI).
The ceremony will also be addressed by Mir Hazar Khan Bijarani, Federal Minister Industries and Production, Khalid Mehmood Chaddah, President GCCI and Muhammad Ali Sheikh, Chairman Board of Management of GBC. Earlier at GBC, Shahid Rashid, CEO Smeda will give a briefing to the Prime Minister on the construction and objectives of the GBC. It merits mentioning here that the GBC has jointly been set up by Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority (Smeda) and GCCI on a pressing demand of the local business community.
