Shaikh Jamshed Hayat, son of former Justice Khizar Hayat of Jamaat Islami and Riaz-ul-Hassan have been elected as President and General Secretary of High Court Bar, Multan by bagging 1676 and 1291 votes respectively.
The others elected are Shahid Manzar Bhatti as Senior Vice President, Mrs. Ruqaiya Sami, Vice President, Rao Muhammad Amjad, Joint Secretary, Shaikh Shahid Naeem, Finance Secretary and Muhammad Hussain Babar, Library Secretary.
Talking to newsmen, Jamshed Hayat said,"we are waging a war against corruption, injustice, exploitation, and social evils and for the supremacy of judiciary and rule of law."
Meanwhile, Muhammad Aslam Khan Dhakkar and Aamer Zia have been elected as President and General Secretary of high court bar, Bahawalpur by securing 845 and 735 votes respectively. Mansoor Abbasi has been elected as the vice president.
