There is need for effective implementation of environmental laws in order to help tackle the problems pertaining to environment and pollution. This was stated by the Sindh Minister for Environment and Alternate Energy, Shaikh Muhammad Afzal.
He was talking to official of his department, says a statement on Sunday. The minister was of the view that the environmental laws are in vogue, but there is need for their effective implementation, so as, to help achieve the desired results and protect the environment. It was also pointed out that, on the directive of Shaikh Muhammad Afzal, training has been arranged on various aspects of environment.
Speaking on the occasion, environmentalist Shahid Lutfi stressed that adequate awareness should be fostered, so as, to help save the environment for our coming generations. He said that we also need a co-ordinated strategy for the protection of environment both at the federal as well as at the provincial levels.
