The head of the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority, Sheikh Ahmed bin Zayed al-Nahyan, is missing after a plane crash off the coast of Morocco, reported the MAP news agency Sunday. The head of the world's largest sovereign wealth fund was in a private plane when it crashed into the ocean near Rabat.
A search is underway by divers from a special Spanish police division after assistance was requested by Moroccan authorities.
The cause of the crash was not yet known. The pilot survived. Al-Nahyan is the brother of the president of the United Arab Emirates, Khalifa bin Zayed al-Nahyan.
