New interest was seen among the buyers on the local wholesale grain and oilseed markets on Wednesday, dealers said. On the seed side castorseed Lasbela was higher by Rs 200 to Rs 2100 and castorseed Sindh picked up the same amount at Rs 2000. Cottonseeds oilcake with bag, however, shed Rs 10 to Rs 1010-1020 in process of trading, they said.
On the rice sector, due to falling trend in export orders, Irri-9 Sindh lost Rs 200 to Rs 3000-3200, Irri-6 Sindh was quoted at Rs 2450-2475, dealers said. Basmati/D-98 Shahdadkot and Basmati/D-98 Bagr Jee low type drifted lower by Rs 300 to 3800 and best types shed Rs 200 to Rs 4000 and Super Basmati Sindh in sympathy was down by Rs 200 to Rs 4600-4800, they said. On the cereals side bajra low type rose by Rs 50 to Rs 1900 while the best type did not show any change at Rs 2550 and gur best quality was up by Rs 500 to Rs 5500, the inferior type maintained the overnight level at Rs 4800, they said.
