Subdued business on grain market

Subdued activity was seen on the wholesale grain and seed market on Thursday as most of the participants were sidelined due to lack of interest in fresh buying, dealers said. On the grams side gram 50x50 low type was down by Rs 150 to Rs 4000 and best type was lower by Rs 50 to Rs 4300, they said.
On the cereals side moong Punjab was higher by Rs 250 to Rs 6500 and masoor Canada, however, slipped with a fall of Rs 100 to Rs 7600, other items did not show any change in process of trading, they said. A solo deal was seen on the seed side where cakes declined by Rs 20 to Rs 710-720, they added. Rates on the rice side, did not fluctuate due to balanced demand and supply position, they said.
