Senior Vice President PML-N, Makhdoom Javed Hashmi, has said that the Bill of 18th Amendment would become more effective and powerful than the Constitution of 1973 after being passed from the parliament. He said that President Zardari should appear in the court to prove himself innocent.
While talking with newsmen at the residence of N-League activists, Tariq Naeem Ullah, Makhdoom Javed Hashmi said that the rumour of seat-to-seat adjustment in the local government elections is not true. Party would decide about the matter to give the ticket on N-League candidate in NA_178.
Responding to a question, he said that provincial sovereignty was announced in the Constitution of 1973, but it has not been acted upon. Two third majority is required to form a new province, but there is nothing mentioned in this constitutional bill regarding the formation of new province.
Hashmi said that, very soon, he would hold media courts in Multan in which Chief Minister Punjab, Mian Shahbaz Sharif would be presented. He further said that his party would give equal facilities to minorities and every effort to declare them a second class citizen would be foiled.
