Lahore police told to collect information about foreigners

Capital City Police Officer (CCPO), Muhammad Pervez Rathore has directed Special Branch of Lahore Police to collect complete information and details of all foreigners, Afghans and Pathan localities as soon as possible. CCPO said that, during the current situation, every citizen should keep his national ID card with him while travelling in the city.
He said that physical remand would be obtained of any person who would be without ID card or proper identification. CCPO directed officers of Lahore Police to ensure that all persons arriving from abroad keep their ID cards with him and anyone unable to provide satisfactory answer would be proceeded against under Section 54 of Criminal Procedure Code, after obtaining his physical remand.
Similarly, CCPO pointed out, persons belonging to other provinces should carry their original ID cards with them. CCPO directed that all property dealers have been asked to maintain complete particulars of persons getting rented house, room or flat and check the original ID cards of the guarantors in this regard, so that persons involved in terrorist activities are unable to acquire any rented place in the city.
CCPO said that a through survey on the pattern of polio campaign should be launched to catch hidden terrorists in the provincial metropolis. He said that survey conductors, in this, regard would be provided a Performa upon which names and numbers of ID cards would inscribed, so that new registration of citizens can be made.
CCPO said that the survey should be conducted on every Sunday, so that all family members are present in the house and they could be registered. CCPO said that such survey could only become successful with the active help of the citizens.
