Activities at Karachi and Qasim ports

The Karachi Port handled 133,850 tonnes of cargo including 78,219 tonnes of import cargo; 55,631 tonnes of export cargo and 5,505 loaded and empty containers during last 24 hours ended at 0700 hours on Tuesday. The total import cargo of 78,219 tonnes comprised of 51,419 tonnes of containerised/general cargo; 21,500 tonnes of bulk cargo and 5,300 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo.
The total export cargo of 55,631 tonnes comprised of 45,689 tonnes of containerised/general cargo; 1,792 tonnes of bulk cargo and 8,150 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo. Eight ships namely Merian, Alliancs Charleston, New Legand Sun, Aliz, Al-Karim-M, Seven Express, Beluga Fanfare and APL Dalian sailed out to sea during the reported period. Five vessels viz Alliancs Charleston, Al-Mirqab, APL Dalian, Beluga Fanfare and Bunga Raya Tujah are currently at the berths.
Two ship namely Liang Shan and Dorian are expected to sail on Wednesday. Three vessels viz Uni Promote, Hanjin Duesseldrof and Red Sea Spirit due to arrive on Tuesday, while nine ships namely Dubai Star, Bow Cape, Gfnie, Bunga Raya Enam, Cap George, Hyundai Commodore, Aerolite, Endeavour and OXL Triumph are due to arrive on Wednesday.

The total import cargo of 60,709 tonnes includes 27,750 tonnes of furnace oil; 4,864 tonnes of palm oil and 28,095 tonnes of containerised cargo. The total export cargo of 21,300 tonnes includes 2,589 tonnes of rice; 2,091 tonnes of cement and 16,620 tonnes of containerised cargo.
Four ships namely CV Maersk Montana, CV Northern Diplomat, MT Samho Gloria and MT Iron Monger-3 sailed out to sea during last 24 hours, while another ship namely CV MSC Sarawak is expected to sail on Tuesday afternoon. Seven vessels viz CV MSC Sarawak, CV Northern Diplomat, CV Maersk Montana, MV Alexi-3, MV Oriental Moon, MT Samho Gloria and MT Iron Monger-3 are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement, rice, palm oil and furnace oil respectively during last 24 hours.
Five ships namely Nedlloyd Oceania, DP Proteus, Al-Soor-II, Advance Victoria and Quetta carrying containers, diesel oil, and furnace oil are respectively are currently at the outer anchorage. Four vessels viz Nedlloyd Oceania, DP Proteus, Al-Soor-II, Advance Victoria and MT Galaxy carrying containers, diesel oil, chemicals and palm oil are expected to take berths at Container Terminal, FOTCO Oil Terminal, Engro Vopak Terminal and Liquid Cargo Terminal respectively on Tuesday.
Three ships namely CV ACX Marguerrte, CV CMA CGM Turquoise and MV Fraternity Wisdom are due to arrive on Wednesday. Four ships namely CSAV Appennini, OOCL Kobe, Al-Abdali and Emerald Park carrying containers, diesel oil and MEG are also due to arrive.
