Prices move both ways on grain, seed market

Many changes were seen on the wholesale grain and oilseed market on Thursday as buyers indulged in fresh purchasing to the meet the near-term needs, dealers said. On the grams side, gram 50x50 lost Rs 150 to Rs 4550-4750, gram dal 50x50 followed the same pattern and shed the equal amount at Rs 5350-5550.
Yellowpeas Canada, however, low type posted fresh gain of Rs 200 to Rs 2900 and better type was up by Rs 300 to Rs 3150 and yellowpeas dal Canada was higher by Rs 200 to Rs 3150-3100, they said. On the rice counter Irri-6 Sindh was lower by Rs 25 to Rs 2425, while other items did not show any change during the day, they said.
On the cereals side, gur low type gained Rs 200 to Rs 5000 and better quality was higher by Rs 100 to Rs 5600, they said. On the seed side, cottonseed oilcake with bag Sindh low type rose by Rs 60 to Rs 1000 and best type picked up by Rs 10 to Rs 1010 and rapeseed Mirpurlane shed Rs 10 to Rs 1650-1660, they said.
