Sania, Shoaib registered as ambassadors of population ministry: Firdous

Federal Population Welfare Minister Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan will leave for India on April 14th to attend the marriage of Shoaib Malik to represent Pakistan and to present the gifts on behalf of President and Prime of Pakistan and AJK Prime Minister to the couple.
She was of the opinion that Shoaib Malik would get back his passport soon and Pakistani High Commissioner to India had already been asked to look into the affair. Addressing a news conference at local hotel here on Sunday evening she disclosed that a grand reception would be hosted in honour of Shoaib and Sania in Sialkot in which political leaders, business community, media, cricket players and elites would be invited.
The minister said that a committee has been constituted for the finalisation of the reception programmes adding that District Cricket Association and Regional Cricket Association, Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) and other trade bodies would play an instrumental role in grand reception in which Sania will be crowned on behalf the citizen of Pakistan.
Dr Firdous further stated that reception would be the true celebration and non-political event that would reflect unity. Pakistan on its behalf was showing high degree of flexibility on various issues because peace and brotherhood was top on the agenda of the government. The federal minister disclosed that Sania and Shoaib had been registered as ambassadors in population welfare ministry adding that it will supportive in disseminating the message of the ministry among the masses about the benefits of small size family.
