Traders have staged a protest demonstration against long hours loadshedding in Lakar Mandi here on Sunday. The protest was held under Trade Union Multan led by President Trade Union, Khawaja Shafiq. Protesters burnt tyres at the chowk and chanted slogans against the government.
It is to be remembered here that business activities are almost closed in the city due to 12 to 15 hours loadshedding. Khawaja Shafiq on this occasion said that government should take immediate actions to overcome this crisis because it has become almost impossible for traders to survive. He threatened that if the situation still persists then traders would escort the parliament on April 22 and will remain there till the fulfilment of their demands.
