PBC suspends licences of two LHC lawyers

14 Apr, 2010

Punjab Bar Council (PBC) executive committee has suspended the practising licences of two lawyers of Lahore High Court for professional misconduct and issued them show cause notices. The suspended lawyers include Hafiz Muhammad Tahir and Ahsan Sohail Anjum of Lahore.
A member PBC Ishtiaq Ahmad Khan had filed a complaint against them accusing them of committing professional misconduct. The complainant said that a court had decided the case in his favour, which was not acceptable to his opponent counsel and they misbehaved him. The PBC referred the matter to its disciplinary committee for further inquiry while forwarded the case of another defendant lawyer Mian Muhammad Hussain Chotiya to Pakistan Bar Council as he was a lawyer of Supreme Court.
