Violent protests in Hazara Division: LEAs told to remain vigilant

Owing to violent protests in Hazara Division against renaming NWFP as 'Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa' the Interior Minister Rehman Malik directed the Police and other law enforcement agencies to remain vigilant to avert any untoward incident.
Police and other law enforcement agencies were directed to remain on high alert and the concerned SHO would be held responsible for any unpleasant incident in the area of his jurisdiction, Federal Minister for Interior Rehman Malik revealed to media here on Tuesday.
He said that the security has been put on high alert in the federal capital, adding that all the SHOs were directed to enhance patrolling in the city. Malik expressed sorrow over the tragic incident in Hazara and said most of the people problems would be resolved with the implementation of 18th Amendment Bill. He said the amendment bill was a unanimous decision of all political parties and its implementation was their collective responsibility.
