Pakistan's number one tyre manufacturer, The General Tyre and Rubber Company of Pakistan Ltd, has resumed the production of tyres after its labour union has called off the strike. This was stated in a press release issued from General Tyre on Tuesday. The company, which faced a complete shut down of activities for almost three weeks, will now put in extra efforts to gain the customers confidence, once again, and get back on the track after incurring huge losses.
The release also said that General Tyre has confidence in its workers and said that it could meet the any deadlines and growing market demands. The management and the workers will now go all out to pull the company out of crisis and will not let their differences hamper the progress of the company.
General Tyre has invested over Rs 1250 million over the last four years in the plant to upgrade its facilities to enhance the production of quality tyres. GTR has also very recently expanded its farm tyre production by commissioning new equipment.
Established in 1963, The General Tyre and Rubber Company of Pakistan Ltd is the largest manufacturer of tyres in Pakistan engaged in the manufacture and marketing of a complete range of tyres and tubes for cars, vans, jeeps, pickups, buses, trucks and farm tyres.
