Women entrepreneurship: Smeda, MOIP hold training programme

Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority (Smeda) Ministry of Industries and Production (MOIP), government of Pakistan and Women Development Department (WDD) government of Sindh have jointly launched "Women Entrepreneurship Development Training Programme in Sindh" under Benazir Bhutto Shaheed Youth Development Programme (BBSYDP).
Trainings were conducted a six cities in Sindh and 330 female participants were trained on entrepreneurial skills. This was stated by provincial Chief Smeda Muslim Raza while addressing at the closing ceremony of Women Entrepreneurship Development Programme in Sindh" at Szabist Karachi.
He further added that Smeda is taking concrete steps to facilitate SMEs in Pakistan by creating a conducive and facilitating environment as well as providing business development services to SMEs. He further added that Smeda is a so establishing Women Business Development Center in Karachi which would fun notion as a business incubation center, imparting business development services to new women entrepreneurs.-PR
