Punjab educational endowment fund conducts workshop

With a view to develop soft skills and leadership qualities among the Punjab Educational Endowment Fund (PEEF) scholarship holders, PEEF conducted a workshop with the volunteer support of Akhuwat and University of Central Punjab for these scholars on "Kauzen Management and 5-5 Application" here on Wednesday. Education Minister Punjab, Mian Mujtaba Shuja-ur-Rehman, was the chief guest on the occasion.
He appreciated this initiative taken by PEEF to develop and enhance the soft skills of PEEF scholars. Addressing the audience he said that PEEF scholars were very talented and advise them to improve their leadership and communication skills to face future challenges and stressed that, more workshops should be conducted on the same lines.
He further stated that PEEF has taken initiative for government of Punjab to provide scholarship to the needy and talented students to bring them at par with the more fortunate once. PEEF has so far disbursed 10 thousand scholarships to the talented and needy students. Besides providing scholarships to the needy and talented students, PEEF has also taken an initiative to improve the soft skills of PEEF scholars by regularly conducting capacity building workshops to make them capable of managing the challenges of ever changing and competitive environment.
Khalid Zaheer, Ms Hadia Awan and several others profound scholars and educationists, addressed the participants. They emphasised the importance of such workshop in enabling the scholarship to face future challenges, and contribute towards the welfare of the country.
Dr Amjad Saqib, Vice Chairman, PEEF and Professor Azhar Ikram, Dean, University of Central Punjab also addressed the workshop and highlighted the importance and necessity of such workshops, which would help in creating a critical mass of this talented youth for the welfare of the country.
