CJP asks PPO Punjab to produce abducted girl

Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry on Thursday directed Provincial Police Officer (PPO) Punjab to recover an abducted girl and produce her before the Session Judge, Rawalpindi on April 26. The CJP took suo motu notice into the matter on an application of Gulzar Begum, resident of Rawalpindi, in which she stated that her daughter was abducted at gun point by the accused.
She said FIR was registered against the accused but no fruitful action had been taken so far. She had prayed for justice. Meanwhile, taking another suo motu notice on the appeal of a government servant published in a local newspaper on April 14, CJP directed the PPO Punjab to submit report into the matter on April 26. The complainant stated that his daughter was kidnapped from the hospital by un-known accused. He said FIR had been lodged but no action had been taken so far by the concerned police. He had prayed for justice.
