Federal Minister for Defence Chaudhry Ahmed Mukhtar has strongly condemned a bomb blast in Quetta on Friday and expressed profound grief over the loss of precious human lives. Denouncing the blast, the minister said that terrorists are enemies of the country and wanted to weaken it but every effort would be made to eradicate them. He said it was a highly cowardly act to shed the blood of innocent people.
The minister sympathised with the people of bereaved families and prayed for early recovery of the injured. Chairman Senate Farooq H. Naek and Deputy Chairman Jan Muhammad Khan Jamali have strongly condemned bomb blast in Quetta resulting heavy loss of lives, which included a private TV cameraman and damaged to property.
In a message issued here on Friday, they described the incident as a cowardly act meant to terrorise the people. They said the terrorists were now targeting innocent people, in desperation. Their low morale could be gauged from the fact that the terrorists were attacking places of worship, schools and hospitals.
The Chairman and Deputy Chairman said that no religion in the world allow such barbarity. They sympathised with the families of the victims and also prayed to Allah Almighty for early recovery of those who sustained injuries in the blast. They prayed for eternal salvation of the departed souls. The leader of the House in the Senate Syed Nayyar Hussain and Leader of the Opposition Waseem Sajjad have also condemned the blast.
