Gilgit-Baltistan Cabinet unveiled

Gilgit-Baltistan Chief Minister Syed Mehdi Shah on Friday unveiled the names of his Cabinet members after over four months of elections. According to the announcement, out of seven Cabinet members, six belonged to Pakistan Peoples Party and one JUI-F. The decision to this effect was taken at a high-level meeting at the President House late Thursday night.
The ministers are: Mohammad Ali Akhtar from Gilgit District, Dr Ali Madad Sher from Ghizer, Engineer Ismail and Wazir Shakeel from Baltistan, Mohammad Nasir Khan from Astor and JUI-F member Haji Gulbar Khan from Diamer District. Moreover, Aftab Haider and Sadia Danish were appointed as advisors to the chief minister both belong to PPP Gilgit district.
According to initial reports, Dr Ali Madad Sher was assigned the portfolio of health minister and the departments of law justice, interior and information were given to Wazir Shakeel. The department of PWD was given to Engineer Ismail, forestry to Mohammad Nasir Khan and tourism & local government was given to Mohammad Ali Akhtar.
