Central Leader of PML (Q) and former chief minister Punjab, Chaudhry Pervez Elahi has said that people were fed up with the 18 hours of load shedding. He said that the people were protesting and chief minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif was giving the orders of firing on them.
According to the spokesperson he warned Shahbaz Sharif that protest is the right of the people and no body could take this right from them. He also said that the 18th amendment gave Punjab the gift of 18 hours load shedding. He said that firing on the train of protestors in Jehlum is condemnable.
Due to the stubbornness of the chief minister Punjab Elahi said that people were unemployed and the price-hike and the lawlessness was increasing day by day. He said that in these circumstances coming out on the roads was the only option left to the people.
Former chief minister said that the present rulers were not bothered about the sufferings of the masses and their only concern was the protection of their ill-gotten wealth and power. He said that Pakistan Muslim League had warned of the consequences of acquiring gas run rental power units a year back but no attention was paid to these warnings at the time. He said that Shahbaz Sharif should come out of the thoughts of becoming third time prime minister and chief minister.
