Nine transformers installed in Buner to rehab system

The government has rehabilitated electric supply system in affected areas of Buner by installing nine electric transformers in Koga Korea and Ambela villages to provide electricity facilities in the summer season. A press release issued by Special Development Unit (SDU) on Saturday stated that those schemes were identified by the community members in meetings, held with local administration, because growing militancy badly damaged the electricity supply system in the area.
These developmental schemes include, repair of electric supply system in Koga Korea, Ambela and surrounding villages at Tehsil Daggar of lower Buner, where nine transformers of 100 KVA, 50 KVA and 25 KVA have been installed. While three high tensions, four low-tension poles and other required accessories were also installed in the area.
By this scheme the electricity supply system has been rehabilitated and the government has provided relief to every citizen of the area. Addressing the work completion ceremony, Buner DCO and Administrator Syed Mujeeb-ur-Rehman said the government was committed to rehabilitate the electricity system in the area on emergency basis and provide electricity facility to every village of the area in the summer season.
He further said that "improving the electricity distribution system in Buner was a positive step and those sorts of initiatives should continue to provide more systematic support to the people." On the same occasion locals Raj Mohammad and Mohammad Rahman said, "We were suffered a lot at the hands of the militants and the destruction of the electric system further added to our misery but the government fulfilled the demand of the locals, giving an emergency relief to the people by rehabilitating the electric supply system".
