Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)'s Central Information Secretary, Omar Safaraz Cheema, deplored the strangulation of the already starved masses at the hands of rampant loadshedding. He expressed these views during a meeting with a delegation of party workers from Faisalabad.
He expressed his profound sorrow and utter dismay at the death of Younis Masih at Toba Tek Singh and demanded judicial inquiry into the causes of his death. "Due to rampant loadshedding, sounding the death knell for all business activities in Toba Tek Singh, Younis Masih defaulted on a bank loan.
As a consequence, the bank confiscated his welding machine, traumatised by this, Younis suffered cardiac arrest and expired," he added. He sought immediate judicial intervention into write off loans of small entrepreneurs. He revealed that Younis Masih suffered death because of only Rs 17,000 bank loan. Omar Cheema dismissed the Chief Ministerial conference on loadshedding and termed it as an eye-wash. He said the nation can fully understand the machinations and intrigues of the federal and provincial governments, who are perpetrating oligarchic rule in the garb of democracy.
