Sindh Interior Minister Zulfiqar Mirza has said that Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) trusts United Nations findings regarding Benazir Bhutto's assassination and action would be taken against those held responsible in the report. Talking to media men, at the inaugural ceremony of Centre for Peace & Civil Society and Sindh Research Centre Office in Qasimabad on Monday.
Mirza specified that the government of Punjab is responsible to lodge FIR against culprits as the incident took place in their province. Responding a question the interior minister said anyone that guilty would be brought to book; regardless of political affiliation or portfolio. Highlighting PPP's approach, he said that people have witnessed the party's loyalty towards Benazir Bhutto and their die-hard attitude towards the leader.
Answering another question he said that incidents of Karsaz and Liaquat Bagh were a chain of conspiracy. He also said that all those, responsible of their leader's assassination and have fled the country, would be brought back to be tried in the court of law.
"A group of people claiming themselves as honourable, and criticising on us should keep in mind that we are sons of soil and representatives of the people of Sindh and would protect their rights as the interest of the province will not be compromised", said Mirza.
