Power looms workers slam industry's crises

A motorcycle rally was taken out by the workers of power looms from Manzoor Abad Chowk to Multan Press Club against the on-going crisis of power looms industry, here on Saturday. The rally was organised by Power Looms Association and led by its Secretary General Khaliq Qandeel Ansari.
Dozens of motorcyclists took part in the rally that were holding banners and placards on which slogans were inscribed to take radical steps to end the crisis of power looms industry. Khaliq Qandeel Ansari while addressing the rally said that poor policies have put the entire economy at risk.
He said about 2 million power looms owners are facing the financial crisis and non-availability of raw material. The value-added sector, that is earning precious foreign reserve for the country, has been forced to close down. He termed the government solely responsible for the entire 'destruction', harming country's economy and trade under a conspiracy.
