Japan's gasoline stocks hit fresh one-year high

Japan's gasoline inventories edged up over the past two weeks to hit a fresh one-year high, industry data showed on Wednesday, as weak sales during a string of public holidays led to a stockpile build. Gasoline inventories in the world's third-biggest oil consumer nation totalled 2.43 million kilolitres (15.29 million barrels) in the week ended May 8, Petroleum Association of Japan (PAJ) data showed.
Stocks of the motor fuel had jumped to 2.40 million kl in the week ended April 24.
