Just as Google dethroned others for its extraordinary camera, Huawei recently joined the race too, defeating Apple and Samsung in its battle for camera quality.
DxOMark released its list of camera ranking and the recently launched Huawei Mate 10 Pro surpassed Apple’s iPhone 8 and Samsung’s Galaxy Note 8. Where iPhone 8 Plus and Galaxy Note 8 scored the same ranking of 94, Mate 10 Pro outdid them both by being ranked at 97.
Simplifying it further, Mate 10 Pro got 100 points for its photo performance and 91 points for its video performance. The phone also succeeded in getting 5 stars for its great details preservation, low noise levels, wide dynamic range and exceptional detail at 2x zoom, reported Tech Juice.

Mate 10 Pro features a 12MP RGB sensor and a 20MP monochrome sensor for detailed photos. The phone comes with preservation of details in low-light conditions, great exposure, rapid, repeatable and accurate autofocus, and good bokeh simulation. The phone also has commendable motion reduction, pleasing colors and precise white balance, according to The Deccan Chronicle.
Not long ago, Google’s newly launched Pixel 2 excelled the ranking list by scoring 98. It still stands on top of the list marking itself the first phone ever to score that much of a higher grade. Huawei now lays just one rank below it.
