Jimmy's exhibition attracts art lovers

The major solo art exhibition of Pakistani artist Jimmy Engineer titled "For the eyes only" is drawing big crowd of those interested in high quality of paintings at the Revivers Galleria in Gulberg. The much awaited major cultural activity of big solo paintings exhibition as a matter of fact in a very humanitarian coupled with artistic manner creating waves in the art and cultural circles.
Two special minor girls were the chief guests on the occasion and they inaugurated the exhibition of canvass prints of his life long selected artwork show, which is will remain open till May 29. Chief guests were special minor girls, Ayesha and Komal Amin who hailed from the special education and training institutions of the provincial metropolis namely Hajvery Centre for the Blind in Jauhar Town and Inayat Foundation in Gulberg.
A large number of people from different walks of life cheered the minor special. They also felicitated Jimmy Engineer and owner/curator of the Revivers Galleria Sara Anjum for this noble humanitarian gesture and setting up of a new trend. This was perhaps for the first time in the cultural history of Pakistan that two minor special girls were selected for the inauguration of the painting exhibition.
This also reflected artist and social crusader Jimmy Engineer commitment and dedication to the cause of the Special Children all over the country as well as abroad. Jimmy Engineer has been organising the Fun, Food, Awareness Programmes for the Special Children ie mentally-retarded, physically handicapped, deaf and dumb in Karachi, Lahore and elsewhere in the country and also in Sri Lanka during the last more than eight years.
On display in the exhibition, titled "For the eyes only" are 83 canvass prints of Karachi-based artist Jimmy Engineer. These include his famous Pakistan Movement painting series as well as recently completed architectural compositions under the banner of "Harmony and Peace" reflecting cultural and architectural heritage of Pakistan, India, Uzbekistan and other South Asian countries.-PR
