The Lahore High Court (LHC) here on Monday issued notices to secretary petroleum and Sui Northern Gas Pipeline Limited (SNGPL) in a writ petition challenging the loadshedding of CNG in violation of agreement signed between petitioner and the government.
Earlier, the court had sought replies from the respondents but no reply was submitted so far. Now the court again directed them to file their replies within two weeks. The petition was filed by Mian Aslam, owner of a CNG Station in Faisalabad, who through his counsel Kh. Saeed-uz-Zafar contended that according to agreements signed between CNG stations and the government loadshedding of the gas could only be carried out in winter season. Counsel, however, pointed out that the agreement possessed by the petitioner bound the government to supply gas to the petitioner for whole year without any interruption.
