Flooding across central Europe caused more disruption with three more bodies found in Poland and Slovakia, taking the total death toll to nine, authorities announced Tuesday. In Poland, an eight-year-old boy drowned in the southern city of Krakow and the body of an 80-year-old woman was recovered Tuesday morning from a highland stream in the southern mountain resort of Zakopane.
Five people have now been killed in the floods in Poland over the last three days, national fire brigade spokesman Pawel Fratczak told AFP. Rescue workers were still searching for one man swept away Monday by a flooded river in the south, he said.
