The Swiss franc hovered close to an all-time high against the euro on Tuesday with only Swiss National Bank interventions preventing an even sharper rise as the eurozone crisis weighed heavily on the common currency. At 0652 GMT, the franc was trading largely unchanged against the euro compared with the New York close at 1.4015 per euro.
On Monday, the euro-franc rate briefly dipped below 1.40, marking a record high for the franc. Against the dollar, the franc was trading 0.1 percent lower against the dollar at 1.317 per dollar.
