Anti-Polio campaign in Faisalabad to start from July 12

The 3-day National Anti-Polio Campaign would start from 12th to 14th July during which 1.199 billion children of under five-year of age would administer polio vaccine drops across the district. This was informed during the meeting of District Polio Eradication Committee, which was held here under the chairmanship of DCO Saeed Wahlah.
The health officers informed the meeting that the district has been divided into 75 zones for implementing the polio campaign and total 2731 teams of health department have been constituted to administer the polio vaccine out of which 2209 mobile teams would visit door to door for the purpose.
They further informed that all necessary arrangements had been finalised however, the assistance and co-operation of revenue, education, social welfare, police, auqaf was vital to make campaign a success. The DCO directed the concerned departments to mobilise co-ordinated efforts for a success of the anti polio campaign and there efforts and potions should not be slow down in this regard. He advised that maximum publicity of the campaign should be ensured for the awareness of the parents. The meeting was attended by EDO Health Dr Rasheed, DOH Dr Azhar Waheed, WHO Rep. Dr Deborah and others officers concerned.
